I'm starting to doubt my fear of Tobi being Izuna.

It's confirmed that Obito is indeed the connection here given both Kamui and Tobi's tech running in the same dimension.

So do you guys think it's Obito or someone who stole his other eye after Kakashi had left? I feel like Tobi was blaming Kakashi for something, maybe Rin? But then Kakashi reminisces to Obito's grave...

Naruto had to troll us with the TnJ, dope cloak though. I feel like we'll be seeing his version of Hiraishin very soon.

I am 80% more certain its Obito now. Tobi's speech is a little to depicting for it not to be him. He also mentions the bridge which was Team Kakashi's objective in that war.

Like I said before (not sure if it was here), I think before the final rock crushed Obito, he somehow was able to save himself by activating some TSJ, or was pulled out by Zetsu. Brought to Madara who liked Obito's TSJ abilities/saw potential in him. Then twisted him and showed him the world and how it really was. Distorted his own thoughts on reality and turned Obito into Tobi.

And yeah maybe Rin was a big part of it. If Obito lived and Rin died later or in a later part of that war, and Obito realized/seen that Kakashi couldn't protect her that he could be blaming him. Anything can be drawn up at this point as to make a reason for Obito to become Tobi.

How do you know tobi was a grown man at the time of the leaf village attack? I mean look at kakashi at the time of the nine tails attack, he was pretty much looking as he could pass for a grown man, or well early 20's or so.

That's true, but still something about this theory doesn't add up.

I'm also leaning toward it being Obito, but the only thing that bothers me is the fact that Kakashi remembers Obito dead during this chapter. And maybe this person (Tobi) saw the entire scene with Kakashi/Obito and swopped in after the fact and manages to salvage Obito's other eye. Then he (Tobi) might have been the one who killed Rin in order to unlock Obito's eye? And that's why he's throwing it in Kakashi's face. The fact that he was there and witnessed Obito's last words to Kakashi... "protect Rin." makes all this sound too suspicious. And if we really think about it, Rin's death has never been discussed in detail. Who did it, nor how it happened. If Tobi were Obito, I highly doubt he would do it. And I also don't see how Obito would allow her to get killed if he had survived.
